Goa Travel Guide - 4 Days Itinerary

First of all thank you, everyone who shared the experience on this thread or similar threads related to Goa, as it helped me plan my 4 day trip well.

I was in Goa for 4 days / 4 nights, in fact, I arrived in Goa very late at night and from the next morning I had 4 full days to explore Goa.

I wanted to see Goa in the North and South, but at the same time, I did not want to keep busy in North Goa especially along the coast of Calungate / Baga. So I decided to stay in Mandrem, North Calungate or Baga. My hotel was near the sea with a view of the sea from my bedroom window. It was a surreal experience where we could spend the whole day directly on the beach drinking, reading, exercising.

Mandrem is a beautiful, cool, and peaceful place where most of the visitors are Russian, and the sea is clear and uncluttered. I spent hours in the morning until 10-11AM and then left the beaches north of goa to see.

Day 1 in NORTH GOA

1. Mandrem Breakfast - Do you swim, make breakfast and leave calungate at 10.30 AM.

2.Arrived at Calungate and all water sports were done - Try to negotiate as much as possible with any agent / tout and before making a deal, check out the table where the real organizers are scheduled. That can help you to know the real price for each water game.

3.Shopping in Calungate and headed to Baga beach. Both Baga and Calungate were very crowded and the water quality was very dark and people were crowded here and there.

4. I went back to Mandrem at night and sat on the beach and rested for 2-3 hours enjoying my drinks. And an amazing feeling.

2ND DAY IN NORTH GOA

1. Morning jogging and swam until 9AM and after enjoying my breakfast, Checkout to leave my hotel at 11am and then covered the castles like chopara fort and Aguada fort.

2. My second day happened on a Wednesday. Anjuna market day, so we spent about 3 hours there.

3. Then I went to my hotel in South Goa near Lake Colva in the evening.

Central Goa Day 3:

1. I started early in the morning from my hotel to these places in the same order: - Big Foot Museum, SantaDurga Temple, Sahakari Spice Plantation, Old Goa Churches ( Basilica Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral ), and last but an hour boat ride to Miramar Beach in Panjim . This boat was really worth it because it showed Dolphin , and looking at about 6 places, and most importantly Beer with music on the boat was really amazing.

Just keep in mind not to drink too much as the Dolphins do not go out in the afternoons. And we could see only the back edges of gray.

2. By the time we come back and it is getting late and we are heading back south of my hotel.

4TH DAY IN SOUTH GOA

1. After swimming at the hotel and enjoy a delicious breakfast. We made our way out and headed straight for the Sea of Colva where I had been resting for quite some time Jet boarded.

2. After that we went to Sunset Beach where my wife and I spent about 4-5 hours playing vollyball and enjoying the tranquility of that beach.

South goa has an amazing sea and clear waters. If you want some time to spend alone without interruption, South Goa is your place.

This is the perfect itinerary when we visit goa with family, next time i will cover casinos, pubs and bars.

Throughout my trip I rented a car at the airport and dropped it off at the airport.

Some points to keep in mind:

1. Rent a car or bike that will help you a lot.

2. Ask the taxi drivers a day in advance how and what you will do the next day. Plan your day in advance as Goa has a lot to offer and planning will really help you.

3. Carry a carpet or plastic sheet that is very useful for beaches, as most beaches in southern goa do not even have a roughly built hut or cabin..

4. If possible take your drinks with you as the shacks have high prices unless you negotiate.

5. One tip is not to rely solely on GPS and even then, and pay attention to the distance (KMs) on the left should decrease as you move, if you have ever seen it increased after a turn or lost anywhere, then ask someone nearby. The people of Goa are very helpful.

6. Choose a restaurant carefully as preferences may not match your expectations. Being a vegetarian, we had a hard time and ended up going to restaurants where the taste of the food was awesome. So at least once a day reliable sources can be tested such as the subway, Dominos etc.
